Fulbright Scholar and Top 10 Senior Christy Milliken, 2008

Fulbright Scholar Christy Milliken believes that becoming involved in the College of Arts and Sciences Student Council kept her interest stoked about Oklahoma State University, its faculty, staff and students.

Milliken helmed the student organization in 2007, guiding it through a service project, a volleyball tournament bertween the councils and an awards and honor banquet. The college's diverse disciplines made for an exciting mix of people with whom to work, she says.

For the council's service project, Milliken and her fellow students filled out decorated Chrismas cards for area nursing home residents.

"It's one of those things where it's work, but it's never work that you dread doing," Milliken said. "It's always work that I look forward to doing."
