Sarah Hoyt

Distinguished Alumni,

Sarah Hoyt graduated from OSU in 1966 with a bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in theatre, speech and English. She retired in 2006 after 34 years of dedication to theatre education throughout the country.

After graduating from OSU, she moved to Fort Collins, Colo., and taught speech, drama and English at Arvada High School while completing her Master of Arts at Colorado State University. She returned to Oklahoma in 1977 and worked at high schools in Perry and Oklahoma City. She also served as publicity director for Lyric Theatre and taught introduction to acting classes at Stage Center, both in Oklahoma City.

Hoyt has been a member of the National Thespian Society and Alpha Psi Omega, the national theatre fraternity. She has also been involved with teh Oklahoma Theatre Association and OSSA speech and theatre competitions.
