Lieutenant Colonel Mike Sloniker received his bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma State and obtained his master’s degree at Webster University. Sloniker served 23 years in the Army with two tours to Vietnam. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal with “V”/24 awards and the Presidential Unit Citation for his service.
Following his military career, Sloniker worked for Lockheed Martin Corporation in business development for 21 years. He served in a community service program for the wounded at Walter Reed Military Hospital. Sloniker retired to Edmond, Oklahoma, and continued his impacting his community by serving at the church men’s groups and the OKC YMCA. For recognition of his service to his community and country, Sloniker was inducted in to the Oklahoma Military Hall of Fame. He and his wife, Gina are both lifetime members of the OSU Alumni Association and have set up an education grant with the OSU Foundation.
